I am strongly in favor of free speech. Free Speech is a critical right. There are many threats to free speech. Patents, gag orders, fines, official secrets, non-disclosure agreements, political correctness, politics in general and lawsuits. Free speech is the one tool that individuals must retain at all times. Dissent is not a crime.
